Felt Donut Decoration

As always, I am severely delayed in the production of my blog, but have no fear!  I have so much fun stuff to share!

So, I must say; I have a deep passion for donuts.  Donuts, they, they are so good.  They melt in your mouth, they taste so sweet, they're a perfect compliment to coffee!  So in honor of my love of donuts, I made a felt donut!  Follow my directions now to make your own!
Step one:   cut out donut shapes

Pin your donut shapes to desired colors (Above is a tan color to be the flavor of maple)

Color above to be flavor of chocolate

Cut out the base of the donuts, this one will be chocolate
Here is another sample of colors of donut shapes.  I tried both the above cutter, but eventually found that traditional scissors was easier.

WoW!  Now that your donut shape is cut out:  pin the layers together and use a blanket stitch to sew together.
Sew the inside of the donut FIRST, then as you sew the outer layers of the donut, stuff with fiber fill.
I cut out the wavey topping in pink.  I took assorted colors of plastic beads and sewed them onto the topping.  It was difficult, but fun!
Once you have beaded (sprinkled) your topping, sew into finished donut.
TADA!  Finished donut!  fun to hang around the house, put on your Christmas tree, or keep in the kitchen!  Enjoy!
